CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

At ModernAge Home LLC., we are committed to conducting our business in a socially responsible and ethical manner. We recognize our responsibility to contribute positively to the community that supports us and will actively support non-profit organizations within our local community and to orphanages and homes for abandoned children in Ecuador, South America.

Having spent his teenage years in Ecuador, David Reid, Owner of ModernAge Home, had the opportunity to experience this problem firsthand and continues to have a strong wish to help these children. It is our goal at ModernAge Home to partner with local organizations in Ecuador to help protect these vulnerable children from further exploitation and potential homelessness.

The growing population of Ecuador has doubled in the last 2 decades in turn creating a growing population of abandoned children. Most of these children are from poor and/or indigenous families. Growing poverty, lacking education, and limited governmental resources further exacerbate the problem of street children and orphans in Ecuador.

We aim to help these children by providing financial support in orphanage programs in Ecuador. With other volunteers and financial supporters, we want to share our resources, time, efforts, skills, and love with these forgotten children.

We want to be pro-active in trying to help our world be a better place for everyone.

SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY

THE AIDS/LIFECYCLE RIDE

The Owner of ModernAge Home, David Reid is participating in the 2019  AIDS/LifeCycle Ride. It is a fully supported, 7 day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles, co-produced by and benefiting San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. The event raises awareness about the ongoing HIV/AIDS epidemic and funds services such as HIV testing, prevention, care, and much more.

Since 1993, when the Ride began as a for-profit event called “California AIDS Ride”, participants have raised more than $200 million and completed more than 42,000 journeys on bikes from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

By supporting this Ride you will help us work towards the following:

  1. Fund the work of San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center to provide free HIV/AIDS medical care, testing, and prevention services.
  2. Raise awareness to end the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS.
  3. Provide a positive, life affirming experience for people affected by HIV/AIDS.
  4. Grow our community of activists, volunteers, and ambassadors fighting to end AIDS.
  5. Honor those who have passed from AIDS-related causes.
